Take the next step toward recovery.

Contact us to get started.

Fathers, sons, brothers, bankers, bus drivers and CEOs–all people from different pathways of life can be affected by substance use disorder (SUD).

Addiction does not happen overnight and neither does recovery. The recovery process can be challenging without the proper help. At Framework Recovery, our goal is to provide the clearest path to successful and sustainable sobriety for you or a loved one. We believe recovery is more successful when outpatient treatment programs such as partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient program (OP), monitoring and sober living homes (SLH) coexist together.

Our treatment philosophy encompasses:

1. Using evidence-based practices

2. Serving others and acting with selflessness

3. Being emotionally vulnerable

4. Finding positive and productive distractions

At Framework Recovery, we know that treatment works because treatment worked for us. Allow our personal experience of treatment and recovery to provide your framework for a substance and alcohol-free future.

Choosing a Drug and Alcohol Rehab Program for Substance Use Disorder Treatment

There are many types of SUD treatment programs, including residential treatment centers (RTCs), IOPs, outpatient programs and partial hospitalization programs. What should you look for or ask? Treatment, when done properly, can set individuals up to achieve a lifetime of success and sobriety.

  • What type of success should a guest look for? After receiving successful treatment at Framework Recovery, a guest should expect to learn how to lead a fulfilling, happy, sustainable, sober lifestyle.
  • Does this treatment teach their guests life and coping skills? Through our different services, including individual and group therapy, as well as living in an SLH, our guests will learn life and coping skills that will help them even after their treatment.
  • Are the staff credentialed? All clinical staff at Framework Recovery are licensed and credentialed.
  • Does the treatment program deal with co-occurring mental health issues? At Framework Recovery, we will have counselors and therapists to help with co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Will this treatment center include the family? Family is important and is potentially the reason our guest is here. Family members will be able to learn about their loved one’s treatment, prevention and how best to support them after their treatment.
  • What should a guest expect at the end of their treatment? After successful treatment, a guest will learn how to have a sustained sober life, and he will have built a support group to help him through.

    Pet Friendly Treatment

Our founders, Chris Curran and Troy Smith, fully believe that animals can help individuals heal during their recovery journeys by helping them mentally, emotionally, physically and socially improve. This is why animals, like dogs, are used in our therapy sessions. Benefits of animal-assisted therapy include, but are not limited to:

    • Increased focus and attention
    • Increased ability to care for oneself
    • Decreased anxiety
    • Enhanced ability to trust and participate in teamwork
    • Growth in social skills

Noble, a corgi/border collie mix that is often at the office and lives at home with the clients.

Lucy, an Italian greyhound, and Sedona, a Shiloh Sheperd, help out around our office.

Luna is a trained therapy husky who is often at the office and in therapy sessions/group.

Continuum of Care for Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Before a guest is admitted to our recovery program, they may need to safely detox.

Detox is the process of removing harmful substances from a person’s body. Each person has a different experience with detox that is dependent on the type of substance and amount used. This process, when done with medical supervision, can help the person affected safely manage withdrawal symptoms.

We want to remind anyone reading this:

Detoxing at home can be deadly. If a medical team does not supervise an individual, health issues like seizures and dehydration can occur. Framework Recovery does not provide detox services; however, our expert staff can recommend detox facilities based on their findings from a medical evaluation.Evaluate: Our medical team will provide drug testing services. This helps determine if any medication is needed and what course of treatment is recommended. Our team will also discuss with guests their substance use, medical, and mental health history. This will help them prepare a comprehensive, long-term plan for the guest, including if inpatient or outpatient services are needed.

According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, (ASAM), there are four main levels of addiction treatment that make up the addiction treatment continuum of care, which can be broken up under residential and outpatient treatment.

    Residential Treatment Services could include:

    • Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Services: this level of care offers 24-hour nursing and daily physician care for severe and unstable substance use disorders.
    • Residential Treatment: this level of care offers 24-hour care for a clinically appropriate amount of time where guests are in a safe and secure facility. Patients in this level of care are offered a structured environment removed from stressful circumstances and any temptation to give in to their cravings. Residential treatment may be optimal for guests who have relapsed and cannot gain control of their addiction.

The second type of addiction treatment is outpatient treatment services including Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Sober Living, Monitoring and Counseling. Framework Recovery offers the below outpatient addiction treatment services:

    Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

This treatment is five to six days a week, six hours a day. If a guest needs PHP level of care, they have a SUD issue that is severe enough that their work needs to be put on hold so they can focus on treatment. During their time here, guests will receive support from their case management team, assigned therapist/counselor, Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) and sober community.

    Intensive Outpatient Program

Guests participate in an IOP three to five days a week, three hours a day. During this time, they receive support from their case management team, assigned therapist/counselor, PRC and sober community.

Generally, intensive outpatient programs range from 9 to 15 hours of group and individual therapy per week along with a 12-step program. IOP provides high levels of care compared to the standard outpatient programs, meaning more time spent in treatment each week for an individual.

IOPs are best suited for individuals who are unable to leave their current responsibilities with family, work, etc. for treatment. For those choosing intensive outpatient treatment, it is best recommended to live in a structured sober living environment with peers and additional support. This treatment type is not recommended for patients with severe cases of addiction.

    Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment services is a level of care that consists of less than 9 hours of addiction treatment. Outpatient programs are more for those who strive to be successful with their first attempt at becoming sober. The level of care for a patient varies depending on the strength of their addiction.

    Sober Living Home

Framework Recovery’s Sober Living Home offers structure and support. Our program is for individuals who face substance use disorders. Here, you will find men who are walking the same path towards recovery as you. While transitioning to a healthier life, you’ll develop practical skills that allow for a promising future of sobriety.

Our SLH’s foundation is a 12-step program that requires sponsorship, maintaining a job, managing daily to weekly expectations and more. The more accountability you prove, the more freedom you gain. Expect to learn responsibility, but to also allow yourself to have the time of your life. Staying sober and living a fulfilling life is essential.

    Continued Therapy + Independent Environment

Guests will go through treatment and move through each phase of treatment based on a clinical professional’s assessment and where they are in their recovery journey. During the end of a guest’s treatment program, they will transition to an independent setting and receive continued support from the sober community they’ve built. They will take the next step of their recovery while having access to Framework and strong alumni.

Our mission is to not only provide men suffering from SUD an individualized framework needed to become sober but to empower them to stop living a life controlled by fear. Our support teams are here to guide you through your individualized care plan. This treatment plan could be the above mentioned treatment process in conjunction with our learned, evidence-based practices and care options:

    • 12 Step Facilitation
    • Trauma Informed Care
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills (DBT SKILLS)
    • Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT)
    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Substance Use Disorder Treatment: Therapy/Counseling and Community Support

Those who are affected by SUD and the associated mental and emotional problems often feel alone.

“I remember when I was first seeking outside help and trying to explain to someone what was going on. I felt like I was on an island – my mind wouldn’t be quiet – constantly thinking,” said Christopher Curran, co-founder of Framework Recovery. “It used to take me hours to fall asleep at night because I would be up worrying, planning, etc. I came to realize through groups that this was extremely common. I was able to breathe a small sigh of relief in that moment and continue to progress.”

Early intervention, before behavioral health conditions get out of hand, is one of the best ways to improve a person’s overall health.

During individual and group therapy, guests will develop skills to maintain mental and emotional health. In these two types of therapies, guests will be able to relate to their peers’ struggles and form an understanding amongst the group.

    Individual Therapy

Guests will receive a minimum of one one-on-one therapy session a week with the potential for more if clinically recommended or in a crisis situation. These sessions will include a high level of individualized care. Guests will work with a counselor to discuss their specific issues and how to address them.

Individual therapy focuses on issues caused by the guests’ substance abuse and what efforts were made to continue their journey through sobriety. While some patients are not comfortable talking in a group setting, individual therapy provides an alternative to speak to a medical professional about more personal topics individually.

    Group Therapy

In addition to offering a safe space for guests to effectively learn how to honestly community care, in this type of therapy a trained therapist will draw upon group dynamics to guide interactions that encourage self-reflection, accountability, empathy and healthy communication skills.

Group therapy can be a place to witness positive behaviors that associate with recovery while practicing new coping mechanisms to deal with addiction.

Once the trust and camaraderie are established, guests will begin to share their “stories” and listen to others. An important byproduct of that is learning good communication and socialization skills – an absolute must when reintegrating back into society and becoming a productive and happy person.

Relapse Prevention Strategy and Sober Living Skills

Up until the end of an individual’s treatment, they have been overseen by doctors, therapists, peer recovery counselors and other addiction recovery professionals. They have collected several months of continuous recovery while being in a safe environment.   Learn More

“We are in recovery, and we will always be in recovery,” said Curran. “The above tips are things that we do every day to keep ourselves positive and moving toward a sober lifestyle,” said Curran.

    Preparing for the Outside World

Sustained sobriety is a lifelong process. Throughout treatment, guests will need to adjust to a whole new lifestyle, including:

    • Finding a job
    • Living arrangements
    • Parenting responsibilities
    • Dealing with legal matters

    Finding a job

Finding a job is about adding another level of accountability to a guest’s life. It is best to look at this job as another step in recovery – reintegrating slowly back into society under the guidance of case managers, therapists and their support community to help them handle the things that will inevitably come their way back out in “the real world.”

For a person in recovery, the job search can feel daunting. It’s understandable to feel like there are barriers like a lapse in between jobs and worrying about discrimination due to recovery. However, getting a job is not impossible, and we are here to help you reach that goal.

Think about these three tips to follow when thinking about your next job:

    • Set realistic expectations
    • Think long-term
    • Ask yourself if you want a job that is high-stress or low-stress

    Living arrangements

One of the keys to an individual’s recovery, is the environment(s) they place themselves in once discharged from treatment.  Individuals should consider living arrangements which provide support for their long term recovery.

    Parenting responsibilities

In order to receive the level of treatment necessary to effectively treat substance use disorder, many individuals must find appropriate care for their children. Upon discharge, individuals are placed back in their parenting role, and sometimes struggle with this transition. A well thought out parenting plan can be beneficial in decreasing the stress involved with this transition.

    Dealing with legal matters

While in the midst of addiction, individuals often become mired in legal issues. First and foremost, when involved with legal issues, individuals should hire an attorney. For those individuals who lack the means to hire an attorney, the court is obligated to provide an attorney at no cost to the individual.

    Insurance Costs: What is Covered?

At Framework Recovery, we don’t intend on billing for blanket services. We break up billing in a few different ways, making it completely custom to each guest.

Our sober living program is private pay, with an available sliding scale based on need. If interested in learning more about our sober living, please reach out for rates. For clinical services, all major insurances are accepted. Utilizing insurance is generally the best option for most people, as many will provide coverage for substance use treatment at the clinical level. We will be more than happy to verify your insurance and work with you to determine what your and/or your loved one’s options are.

Aside from insurance, other available options for payment include cash, credit and other financing options. We want to work with you and do whatever we can to help you or your loved one.

Our main priority and goal is to support and encourage our guest’s successful journey in recovery, and we will work with you and your family to explore all available options.

Take the next step toward recovery.

Acknowledging that you have a substance use disorder (SUD) is one of the first steps toward your recovery and building a sustainable sober lifestyle.
